The First Boy in Space was a book I wrote in the 5th grade.  On the upper right-hand side of the cover is a golden sticker for the award I won for the best book in my class that year.  This award was possibly the one and only award of its kind that I ever won, in writing, but the one award that has said to me over and over again throughout my life, you can do it if you believe you can.  You see I was a complete flunky in most all of English, if not in school in general.  My writing sucked, my reading was horrible and for me to achieve something like this it took extra focus, extra hard work and the attention and care of a good teacher.  Lucky enough on this year Mrs. Winters was just that teacher.
